For the third year running, Yalea has partnered with ELLE WOMEN’S DAY, a day to celebrate, recognise and honour the efforts of bold, disruptive and extraordinary women. Benedetta Poletti, Director of ELLE Spain, hosted the event: “We brought together women who are leaders of change and who are great references in the worlds of politics, business, activism, culture, science, fashion and sport. Leaders ahead of their time who, while transforming the reality of the present, pave the way and design the future”.
During the event, the ELLE Women Awards were presented, honoring women for their leadership in society and their contribution to the visibility of female talent.
The awards were preceded by several panel discussions with prominent women from the business, social and institutional worlds. Almudena Bartayres, COO of Women for Women International, participated in the panel discussion ‘EDUCATION AS A REFUGE: activism, women and human rights’, talking about the humanitarian organisation’s mission and its collaboration with Yalea in the ‘Stronger Women Stronger Nations’ program. Other participants included: Nada Al-Ahdal, Yemeni activist; Beatriz Álvarez, president of the Spanish Football league Liga F; Cristina Gutiérrez, rally driver; Elena Gutiérrez, lieutenant in the Spanish Air Force; Clara Roquet, Elena Anaya, Irene Escolar, Amaya Valdemoro, Ana Peleteiro and Almudena Cid, as well as many other extraordinary women.
The 4th edition of the ELLE Women Awards was also held during the event, honoring Lola Dueñas, Acting Talent Award; Juana Martín, Design and Creativity Award; Nieves Álvarez, Entrepreneurship Award; Amaia, Music Career Award; Francesca Thyssen, Social Commitment Award; and Teresa Perales, Resilience and Motivation Award.
