Yalea, the brand that promotes contemporary women by supporting their freedom of choice, encouraging their talent and rewarding their personal beauty, has partnered with the second edition of the ELLE WOMEN AWARDS, which took place on March 10 at the El Beatriz Auditorium in Madrid. A tribute to women, especially those that have made their mark in Spanish society and beyond.
The day started with a round table event entitled ‘The women who keep the world going’, moderated by Cristina Gullón, with the participation of Julissa Reynoso – United States Ambassador to Spain and Andorra; Nuria Chinchilla – lecturer of the Women and Leadership Chair and founder of the International Center for Work and Family at the IESE Business School; María Blasco – molecular biologist and director of the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre; and Nuria Oliver, telecommunications engineer, researcher and professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, co-founder and director of the ELLIS Alicante Foundation.
The event was also attended by Spanish Minister of Defence, Margarita Robles, interviewed by ELLE director Benedetta Poletti, and activist for the human rights of women and children Lydia Cacho, who – with her speech – inspired all those present.
The day concluded with the following seven wonderful women receiving their ELLE WOMEN AWARDS 2022: Rigoberta Bandini, Es Fascinante, Rosa Tous, Ana Milan, Ona Carbonell, Juana Acosta and Blanca Li.
YALEA was proud to partner with this event, which celebrates one-of-a-kind women. Women who – with their work and talent – are an example and inspiration to other women.
Every one of us is special and, together, we make the difference!
