ELLE WOMEN’S DAY 2023

Yalea partners with the event that honours female talent for the second year running.

Madrid, 7 March 2023.

Yalea – the brand that promotes contemporary women by supporting their freedom of choice, encouraging their talent and rewarding their personal beauty – has partnered, for the second time, with ELLE WOMEN’S DAY, an event organised by ELLE España that celebrates strong, brave and extraordinary women. The event saw the awarding of the ELLE Women Awards, recognising women who have distinguished themselves for their leadership within society and their contribution to championing female talent.

The awards ceremony was preceded by a series of round tables with the participation of prominent women from the business, social and institutional world. These included Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament; Pilar Alegría, Minister of Education for the Spanish Government; Carme Artigas, Spanish Secretary of State for Digitisation and Artificial Intelligence; and Sara García, reserve astronaut at the European Space Agency.

Barbara De Rigo, CMO at De Rigo and President of the Fondazione De Rigo H.E.ART, participated in the round table discussion entitled ‘Diversity, Liberty and Commitment: what really counts’, alongside Sara Khadem, the Iranian chess player in exile in Spain, and Marzieh Hamidi, the Afghan taekwondo champion in exile in France. As part of her contribution, Barbara De Rigo made reference to the ethical values of Yalea and the brand’s support of the ‘Stronger Women, Stronger Nations’ project led by Women for Women International in Nigeria and Afghanistan. Concrete support from Yalea for women in need in countries affected by war.

During the event, the third edition of the ELLE Women Awards also took place, with acknowledgments for Laura Pausini (Award for Musical Career), Julissa Reynoso (Award for Professional Career), Inma Cuesta (Award for Cinematographic Career), Johanna Ortiz (Award for Fashion Design), and Vicky Martín Berrocal (Award for Entrepreneurial Career).
